Wie bekomme ich in SQL den Maximalwert für eine ganze Zahl?

In Mysql gibt es dafür einen billigen Trick:

mysql> select ~0;
+----------------------+
| ~0                   |
+----------------------+
| 18446744073709551615 |
+----------------------+

die Tilde ist die bitweise Negation. Der resultierende Wert ist ein Bigint. Siehe:http://dev.mysql .com/doc/refman/5.1/en/bit-functions.html#operator_bitwise-invert

Für die anderen ganzzahligen Varianten können Sie den rechten Bitshift-Operator >> verwenden etwa so:
