Meine Diskussion mit Jonatha Dickinson (siehe seine Antwort) brachte mich dazu, einige schnelle Tests durchzuführen:
Es kommt heraus, dass die reine, eingebettete Skalarunterauswahl ist nicht so schlimm. Wenn Sie nur einen Wert abfragen, ist es sogar der schnellste . Wie erwartet ist die Skalarfunktion schlecht. Je mehr Felder vom TVF zurückgegeben werden, desto besser ist der relative Leistungsgewinn.
Die einzig sichere Antwort ist:Die Skalarfunktion ist die schlechteste und ein mehrzeiliges TVF ist - meistens - langsamer als Inline. Jeder Ad-hoc-Ansatz ist in der Regel schneller .
Aber ich konnte Sonderfälle für alle Situationen (außer der Skalarfunktion) aufstellen, wo ein Ansatz der schnellste war.
Fazit:(wie immer :-) ) Es kommt darauf an...
Hinweis:Am besten lassen Sie dies gegen eine große Datenbank mit vielen Tabellen und Spalten laufen.
